Admission for 2010-2011 Now taking admissions for Fall 2010. If you interested in enrolling your student for any of our classes, you must fill out an application (see below) and be interviewed by a school administrator. Middle and High School Classes are broken down into credit hour classes. Only those students selected for admission may take credit hour classes. Westridge Christian Academy Admissions Policies Westridge Christian Academy would love to work in partnership with you to educate your child. Read below to determine how to enroll your student at WCA. What kind of student is the right fit for Westridge Christian Academy? 1. A student that is homeschooled and wants to go to college. 2. A student that is a self starter and motivated to learn. 3. A student that is willing to participate and be an active part of the classroom. 4. A student that loves to explore, research, and expand his/her universe. 5. A student that thinks outside the box and thrives on problem solving. How to Enroll your student at Westridge Christian Academy. 1. Attend an Informational Meeting or make an appointment to fill out an application for enrollment. 2. Complete the application and pay a one time non-refundable Application Fee. 3. Submit two previous years' report cards plus the most current report card (if applicable), the most current standardized test results (Iowa Test of Basic Skills, Stanford Achievement Test, etc.), any other educational testing results for giftedness or learning differences on the student. 4. Meet and Interview with a school official. 5. Do testing as necessary for placement of your student. 6. Meet with the registrar to pick class schedule. 7. Pay Registration Fee and fill out/sign enrollment paperwork after classes are confirmed by Registrar. 8. Upon acceptance, obtain book/materials list and purchase necessary items. Non-Discriminatory Policy Orchard Academy makes no distinction in its admission or operating policies with regard to an individual's race, color, gender, or national and ethnic origin. Non-Denominational Policy Westridge Christian Academy believes in the basic tenets of the Christian Faith and those doctrines to which we unreservedly adhere to. Westridge Christian Academy, however, does not assume such authority in the school setting to teach doctrine and only desires to model those fundamentals of the Christian faith which are held common to all in Christ’s Church. (Deut. 11:18-20, Deut. 4:9, Acts 4:12) In honoring this desire, there shall be no attempt made by parents, students, staff or school board to promote or disparage any doctrinal or denominational beliefs, practices, or positions regarding issues upon which the academy has assumed no official stance.
Orchard Academy Refund Policy
All application fees are non-refundable. All registration fees are non-refundable unless the following conditions apply: 1. Student/family has moved outside a fifty mile radius of the school. (Must prove through written documentation.) 2. Immediate death in the family (father or mother) which financially prohibits the student from attending Orchard Academy. 3. No classes are available for the student to attend. Tuition Refunds. There are no tuition refunds unless a course has been cancelled by Westridge Christian Academy, and there is no other available course for the student to take. Please note that the entire financial obligation of a particular School Year’s tuition takes place upon registering for classes. Westridge Christian Academy breaks the tuition down into ten monthly payments for the convenience of each student/family enrolled. Dropping a class, or withdrawing from Orchard Academy does not alter or relieve that financial obligation.
