We've extended the deadline for enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year until Sep. 30. Welcome to Westridge Christian Academy for Independent Studies! We are excited about the possibility of partnering with you as you endeavor to educate your child at home. By enrolling in our program, your student will have all the advantages of homeschooling while building a transcript that will make college enrollment an effortless process. Here are some reasons why you should enroll your student in Westridge for Independent Studies. - Reasonable Tuition.
Cost: $350 per year per student. (This does not include application and registration fees.) Tuition can be broken down into ten monthly payments.
- Personal Attention and Guidance.
Westridge Christian Academy will oversee your homeschooling program and help you choose the right curriculum for your student. Our faculty and staff will be available to you for extra help or academic questions.
- Student Privileges.
By enrolling in our Independent Studies program, your student will be able to participate in any social or extra-curricular activities going on at our facility. Your student will also get to attend our annual graduation and receive a diploma.
- Our program is geared for the busy homeschool student. Students only have to do a minimum of one review a year (this can be done via mail), and there is no proctoring of tests. Simply keep a portfolio of each subject showing sample work pages, quizzes, tests and progression of work.
By enrolling in our Independent Studies Program, your student will have all the advantages of homeschooling by doing 100% of the school work at home or another institution, and getting academic credit for it. Westridge Christian Academy will help you choose curriculum, answer your academic questions, and guide your student through the educational process. We will also keep an official transcript, which will enable your student to receive a High School Diploma and qualify for the HOPE Scholarship.
Here’s how to enroll: - Print and fill out the below application and send a non-refundable check for $25 made payable to Westridge Christian Academy. Once we receive your application, we will notify you by phone.
- Pay your registration fee of $100.
- Attend the initial parent interview process with a school official. If you live outside the metro Atlanta area, a phone interview with a WCA counselor will suffice.
- Pay your tuition of $350 for the academic school year in which you are enrolling. Due by August 1 of each Academic School year.

or call 678-290-8591. Important Independent Studies Forms: Westridge Christian Academy Independent Studies Program is accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission. Georgia Accrediting Commission, Inc.’s programs are accredited and approved by the Board of Regents for the State of Georgia. This program is recognized by the University System of Georgia for admission into college. A student graduating from Westridge Christian Academy Independent Studies program who has met the grade point average requirements is eligible for the Georgia HOPE Scholarship. Attention Homeschoolers! Be informed if you are enrolled in the following programs:
Georgia Virtual Academy - GA K12 Program
Georgia Virtual Academy is NOT A HOME STUDY program. It is a PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL out of Coweta County School System . Be aware that as of August 2009 GVA is not an accredited school. That will make it more difficult to transition back into the public school setting or graduate with an official High School Diploma and Transcript. If you are using GVA, make sure you are enrolled under the umbrella of an accredited Independent Studies program like Westridge Academy for Independent Studies.
MAFA (Masters) & Cordis Academy
Masters and Cordis are not accredited programs. Students enrolled in either programs will need to enroll under the umbrella of an accrediting agency (like Westridge Academy for Independent Studies) in order to have a viable transcript. Please note that Masters and Cordis also does not keep student records past the current school year. Please make sure you keep good records of your student's work if you are enrolled in either of these programs.
Timothy Ministry
Timothy is a ministry which conducts classes for homeschoolers. Their classes are not accredited. You will need to enroll in an Independent Studies Accrediting Agency in order to have a viable transcript for your student.
