Graduation RequirementsAll students currently enrolled or entering Westridge Christian Academy as a 9th grader or above must declare their intent to graduate. Any student who seeks to graduate from Westridge must follow all policies and fulfill all requirements set forth regarding graduation. - Students must meet with a school advisor and select a course for graduation from the time of their initial enrollment or entry into high school. At that time a class sequence will be laid out for that student.
- Students must submit SAT or ACT scores prior to graduation in order to receive a diploma.
- Students must attain a final GPA of 2.0 to graduate.
- In order to graduate from Westridge Christian Academy, students cannot make a "D" in any of the core academic subjects.
- All students who wish to transfer credits into Westridge Christian Academy or enroll in our Independent Studies program must fulfill all course and graduation requirements. Failure to do so may result in the transfer course not receiving approval and the student not graduating. Please note that Westridge Christian Academy will only accept courses as outlined on our Graduation Requirement Sheet.
- All Seniors must meet with Advisor upon entering their Senior year to ensure that they are on the right course for graduation.
- All Seniors must meet the additional academic requirements for graduation as outlined on our Graduation Requirements Sheet.
- All Seniors must pay a required $75 Graduation Fee.
- All students enrolled in academic classes at Westridge Christian Academy must take an end of course exam for each course in order graduate from WCA.
Course RequirementsEnglish (4 Units): Grammar and Usage, American English, World Literature/British Literature, Advanced Composition Natural Science (4 Units): Life Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry Math (4 Units): Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Advanced Mathematics Social Science (4 Units): Geography or Georgia History, US History, World History, Government and Economics Foreign Language (2 Units): Spanish I and Spanish II or Sign Language I and Sign Language II Electives (3 Units): Each elective counts as 1/2 credit. Health/PE (1 Unit): One‐half unit of health and one‐half unit of PE.
Total Units need for graduation: 22 Units Additional Senior Curriculum RequirementsMath: Demonstrate 3 more Math concepts by teaching a 15 minute lesson in class. Essay on the topic "How Math Leads to Success" to be presented at Senior Presentation. Science: Demonstrate mastery of 2 assigned Science concepts by teaching a 15 minute lesson in class. An Independent Research Paper/Project as assigned by teacher. This will be on display at Senior Presentation. English: Dramatic Interpretation Speech using one of the characters from the assigned Literature Books. One Additional Research paper on topic assigned by teacher. History: One additional research paper on a time period in history assigned by teacher. Dramatic Interpretation Speech about one person in history that you admire or studied during the course of the school year. To be presented for Senior Presentation. Seniors taking Music or Drama classes will be required to do the following in addition to the above: A Drama or Music presentation displaying his/her talent and abilities.
